Privacy Policy — Bayeux Brawlers

Effective 11 August 2026. Applies to the Android app com.headspace.bayeuxbrawlers.

Who this is from

Bayeux Brawlers is published under the name Loomstone by an independent individual developer. Loomstone is a publishing name, not a registered company. In this policy "we" and "us" mean that developer. (The app's internal package id still reads com.headspace.bayeuxbrawlers, from an earlier publishing name; it cannot be changed once an app is published, and refers to the same developer.)

The short version

The game has no accounts, no login, no servers of ours, and no analytics. We never receive, see, or store any personal information about you. Your progress is saved only on your own device. The only data that leaves your device is collected by Google, when the app shows an advertisement or when you make a purchase — described in full below.

The app requests only two Android permissions: internet access, and access to the advertising ID. It does not ask for location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, or your files.

Data stored on your device

The app saves your game progress locally: unlocked equipment, cleared milestones, high score, total defeats, bosses beaten, and whether you have bought the ad-free upgrade. This never leaves your device by any route of ours.

Android's own system backup may copy this save data to your personal Google account, if you have device backup switched on. That backup is under your control in your Android settings, not ours — we cannot read it. Uninstalling the app deletes the local save.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Unless you have bought the ad-free upgrade, the app shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob: a full-screen ad after some defeats, and an optional rewarded video you may choose to watch for an in-game bonus. Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares the following, directly with Google — it does not pass through us:

WhatWhy
IP addressServing ads, and estimating the general (not precise) location of the device
Advertising ID and app set IDAdvertising and ad measurement
In-app interactions with ads (app launches, taps, video views)Advertising and analytics
Diagnostic information (e.g. launch time, crashes, energy usage)Analytics and fraud prevention

Google acts as an independent data controller for this information and handles it under its own policies:

Consent. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows Google's certified consent message before any ad is requested, and requests no ad at all unless that consent permits it.

How to limit ad tracking. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by device). Deleting it stops personalised advertising. Buying the ad-free upgrade stops the app from requesting or loading any advertisement at all.

Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The app offers one optional purchase: removing advertisements. The transaction is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card details, billing address, or name. The app receives only a confirmation that the purchase exists, which it stores on your device to keep ads switched off. Google's handling of payment data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Children

The app is not directed to children and is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families programme. Ad requests are not tagged as coming from users below the age of consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — and in fact collect none from anyone. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, contact us at the address above and we will act on it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the California CCPA/CPRA).

Because we hold no personal data about you whatsoever, there is nothing on our side to retrieve, correct or erase. Requests concerning advertising data should be directed to Google, using the links above and Google's own privacy controls. We do not sell personal information. Google's personalised advertising may count as "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA; you can opt out of it through the consent controls and advertising ID settings described above. You are welcome to contact us regardless, and we will help where we can.

Data retention and security

We retain no personal data, so there is no retention period on our side. Data collected by Google is retained under Google's policies. Data sent to Google by the ads and billing SDKs is encrypted in transit using TLS.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will be reflected before or when they take effect.
